About the

The Downtown Belmont Development Association (DBDA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2015 by the Belmont Main Street Program. The DBDA acts as an agent to raise funds and apply for grants that municipal organizations are not eligible for.

The 11-member board is comprised of the same members of the Main Street Advisory Board, whom the City Council appoints for three-year terms. All funds raised by the DBDA go directly towards advancing historic downtown Belmont’s economic, aesthetic, and cultural environment.

The DBDA also hosts and plans the following events:
🎸 Friday Night Live
🎄 Christmas Village

The mission of the DBDA  is to further advance the economic, aesthetic, and cultural environment of historic downtown Belmont.

Located 6 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, downtown Belmont is weaving a history within three districts: The Chronicle District, Historic Downtown and East End.

We are advancing the hub of a growing collection of independently owned businesses exemplifying an environment supportive of small business and entrepreneurial development.

These distinct districts connected by future trolley, trail, sidewalks and city streets, offer a variety of experiences from outdoor recreational opportunities, to downtown living, dining and family-friendly entertainment.
